The Canadian Maple Leaf gold coin is one of the most sought-after and best-selling coins in the world. It is the most popular Canadian coin produced by the Royal Canadian Mint continuously since 1979. The coin is made of 24-carat gold with a very high fineness of 999.9 and purity.

Canadian Maple Leaf is in demand not only among investors, but also among collectors and is worth recommending to both experienced and beginners. This is due to many factors, such as the immaculate reputation of the Royal Canadian Mint, and the fact that this investment coin is guaranteed by the Government of Canada as to its legality, purity and the origin of the metal. Additionally, it is a legal tender in the issuer's country.

The obverse of the coin has been decorated with the image of Queen Elizabeth II invariably since 1979. Her name is above and below the face value of the coin marked '50 DOLLARS '.

The reverse of the coin is decorated with the national symbol of Canada - maple leaf. Both on the right and on the left side of the leaf there are the famous "four nines" that testify to the purity of gold. We can also find here the inscription "CANADA" referring to the issuer's country and the inscriptions "FINE GOLD" and "1 OZ OR PUR". A thumbnail of a maple leaf is engraved in the lower right quarter of the coin. This security has been used by the Canadian Mint since 2013.

An additional security feature of the Canadian Maple Leaf coin, applied since 2014, are lines arranged in a radius. They are located on both the obverse and the reverse. On the reverse, there is also a laser-engraved micro-mark of a maple leaf. The year of issue is shown inside this mark and is only visible when enlarged.
